Data Management Consultant

Senior Simcorp Consultant

We are seeking consultants with a solid project management/business analysis background with a strong focus on business process and technology change and a good understanding of the asset management industry (both front and back office).

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • Relevant university or business school degree;
  • 5+ years experience within the financial sector, working as a Project Manager, Business Analyst or in the Operations department of a major financial institution;
  • 5+ years SimCorp Dimension experience;
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas from an Asset Manager, Fund Manager, Consultancy or Financial software vendor:
    • Derivatives Processing;
    • Fixed Income Analytics and Processing;
    • Operations (STP optimisation);
    • Risk Management;
    • Performance Measurement;
    • Portfolio Accounting;
    • Outsourcing;
    • Management/Client Reporting.
  • Experience with process analysis/business process reengineering;
  • Business development skills;
  • Outgoing;
  • Quick learner;

Sophis Implementation Consultant

You will initially join our Sophis Value certification program where you will get hands on training through our partner (Sophis), on their industry leading product Sophis Value. After certification you will work on implementation projects delivering solutions to top asset management and hedge fund clients.

Based on your skill sets and background Axxsys will provide training on consultancy and industry courses.

Longer term you will assist Axxsys management consultants in enhancing our value proposition, and provide strategic consultancy to our clients, including System Selection, SWOT analysis and Target Operating Model.

To be successful in the role you should have:

  • An interest and understanding of Front Office processes
  • Exposure to and basic understanding of OTC derivatives
  • Exposure and basic understanding of VaR and performance attribution

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

  • Degree level education
  • 3+ years experience within the financial sector
  • Experience with, Sophis Value, Calypso, Murex, SimCorp Dimension, Thinkfolio or similar products
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas from an Asset Manager, Fund Manager, Consultancy or Financial software vendor such as SimCorp, Calypso or Murex:
    • Derivatives Processing
    • Fixed Income Analytics and Processing
